Making Sense* of Computational Design and Structural Engineering

När: 09 Dec
8.30 - 11.30

Plats: White Arkitekter, Östgötagatan 100

Computational Design allows intuitive design decisions to be informed during the architectural process. By adding structural analysis to our computational design toolbox, we close the circle of quantified structural tests and qualified design decisions. White invites you to learn from the experience of peak practitioners in this field, to find new forms of collaboration between Scandinavian architects and structural engineers, through the use of computational design.

sofaa1 copy_gul2Welcome to an event of presentations and conversations making sense of computational design. Keynote speakers from the fields of structural and architectural engineering will present cutting edge applications of computational design. This first edition of our seminar form Making Sense is hosted and guided by Jonas Runberger (Head of Dsearch at White) and Malin Zimm (Research Intelligence at White).

Cecilie Brandt-Olsen, Format Engineers, Bath

Julian Lienhard, founder of str.ucture, Stuttgart

Karl-Gunnar Olsson, Chalmers, Gothenburg

*Architecture is a trade of knowledge, and the value of knowledge increases by sharing it. To meet the need to develop practice in relation to research and development, we are introducing the seminar series White making sense.
